Need a few Mother’s Day gift ideas? I’ve got you covered! Here is a quick compilation of simple cards and gifts we have put together as a class for our moms and guardians. Before we dive into this list, it’s important to remember and acknowledge that not every student has a mom. Know your students and families before committing to any sort of class Mother’s day project. And if there isn’t a mom or the typical guardian situation, be sure to acknowledge and respect that. Alrighty, let’s dive in!
Jewelry Box With Mama Bracelet
These wooden jewelry boxes from Michael’s are adorable and can be customized with a variety of supplies. Here is a similar option from Amazon. Kid’s can use markers, stickers, sharpie, paint, and so many more supplies to decorate these boxes. We took it up a notch and made “mom” bracelets to put inside the boxes and added some chocolate kisses. This was such a special little gift.
Make A Flower Bouquet
You can’t go wrong with flowers. Not to mention, students love making their own arrangements and personalizing them to what they think their moms may like. You can find inexpensive flowers at Trader Joes and cheap vases can be found at Dollar Tree too.
Decorate A Canvas Tote
These can be a very personalized gift too! You can choose to do a class project and make them look the same like I did or let students decorate them however they want to. These are the totes I used in my classroom for this special mother’s day project.
Make A Handprint Or Thumbprint Card
Here are a few examples of mother’s day cards we have made in the past. You can’t go wrong with a thumbprint card or handprint card. Moms always have such a positive and happy response to these! Here is a free template for the berry card shown in the picture.
I hope this quick list was helpful. In my classroom, we have amazing moms and I want to give them all the presents and love. I don’t know how they do it all but they inspire me!
